Cu Pong Commune: Organizing classes to teach gong playing and traditional musical instruments

From October 9 to November 9, the People's Committee of Cu Pong commune organized a class to teach gong playing and traditional musical instruments to 20 students who are ethnic minority youth in the locality.

During the class, students will be introduced by the artisans about the structure and pronunciation principles of some traditional musical instruments of the Ede people such as: Kram gong, ding buot, ding nam, ki pah, etc.; and how to play the Kram gong.

After mastering the gong playing technique, students will be given some gong pieces by the artisans such as: gong sound for opening ceremony, gong sound for ringing, gong sound for welcoming guests, waterfall song, wine invitation dance...

Artisan guides students to get acquainted with Kram gong.

The gong and traditional musical instrument teaching class is organized according to Plan No. 44/KH-UBND, dated September 17, 2025 of the People's Committee of Cu Pong commune on implementing Project 06 "Preserving and promoting fine traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minority areas associated with tourism development" of the National Target Program on socio -economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the commune in 2025.
