On the evening of September 30, when heavy rain caused the water level to rise rapidly, threatening to isolate many households along the river, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Minh Chau Commune, Bui Thai Son, directed the evacuation of people. Police, military , village chiefs and organizations supported Mr. Nguyen Danh Vi's family (Chu Chau village) to move 7 people and more than 4,000 chickens out of the danger zone.

“If the government had not intervened in time, we would have been left with nothing. The people are very grateful that the commune did not abandon anyone in difficult circumstances,” Mr. Vi emotionally shared.

The People's Committee of Minh Chau commune has decided to temporarily close the underground spillway connecting Vinh Phu ( Phu Tho ) to the commune, and at the same time, absolutely prohibit people from passing through dangerous areas. The commune police, militia and the disaster prevention and control and search and rescue team are on duty 24/7 at ferry terminals, spillways, and low-lying areas. The commune's loudspeaker system continuously broadcasts warnings and safety instructions, minimizing risks for people. Schools in the area are also required to review facilities and prepare plans to adjust school schedules when the weather becomes complicated.

Some vegetable fields in riverside villages and alluvial areas were flooded. Police, military and mass organizations were mobilized to help farmers quickly harvest and transport agricultural products to high ground. Livestock farmers were informed and instructed to reinforce barns, raise assets, move livestock, and stock up on necessities to prevent adverse situations.
