The Southern Hydrometeorological Station said that the high-altitude disturbance formed in the southern offshore waters from Lam Dong to Ca Mau is moving westward. The southwest monsoon is weak. These two factors will cause heavy rain in the South today.

Weather in the late afternoon and evening: scattered showers and thunderstorms (the area tends to increase slightly compared to the previous day), some places have moderate to heavy rain. In thunderstorms, watch out for tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

The weather will worsen in the coming days when the tropical convergence zone with its axis over the Central region and the middle of the East Sea is established to connect with storm Matmo. The upper disturbance will become more active and control the weather in the region.

The weather will rain more, showers and thunderstorms in the evening, especially in the Southeast region where there will be rain in many places (rain area tends to increase slightly). Some places will have moderate to heavy rain.

Regarding the rain on the evening of October 1, the place with the heaviest rain was Thanh Son ( Dong Nai ) 109.8mm, Bu Nho (Dong Nai) 61.4mm.
