Dong Dang Commune, Lang Son Province was established on the basis of merging 5 communes and towns including: Dong Dang Town, Thuy Hung Commune, Phu Xa Commune, Hong Phong Commune and Bao Lam Commune of the former Cao Loc District. This is a border commune adjacent to Bang Tuong Town, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.
The total natural area of the commune is 91.57km2 , with 19.036km of border, 2 international border gates, 1 secondary border gate. The convenient transportation system with national highways 1A, 1B, 4A and the Hanoi-Dong Dang railway passing through the area, creates favorable conditions for economic , trade, service and tourism development.
Currently, the commune has two national projects: Huu Nghi-Chi Lang and Dong Dang-Tra Linh expressways in the area.
After 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term, with the solidarity and determination of the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the efforts of the entire political system, the consensus and active participation of the people and the business community, Dong Dang commune has achieved many important results. Out of a total of 108 main targets, 94/108 targets have been completed and exceeded.
However, the socio-economic development of the commune still has many limitations and targets have not been completed. The development of economy, trade, tourism and services is not yet stable and not commensurate with the potential of the border economic zone; rural traffic, communal and inter-village roads are still degraded in many places and have not been invested in synchronously.
Frankly acknowledging the limitations of the previous term and promoting the achieved results, the Party Committee of Dong Dang commune set a goal for the 2025-2030 term to upgrade the commune government to one of the central wards of Lang Son province in the future.
In particular, Dong Dang commune sets a breakthrough in economic development towards trade-service-tourism associated with border gate economy, attracting investment in logistics, warehouses, commodity trading centers, and modern border markets.
Along with that, Dong Dang commune will promote the development of spiritual tourism services, border gate tourism, build tourism products associated with historical relics, folk festivals, cuisine and cultural traditions of Tay and Nung... promote cooperation in developing cross-border tourism.
To realize the goal of building a smart city, Dong Dang commune focuses on attracting the development of urban areas in the direction of "Bright-green-clean-beautiful" associated with promoting Dong Dang walking street, while also paying attention to Building e-government towards smart administrative management, effectively serving people and businesses.
At the 1st Congress of the Dong Dang Commune Party Committee, comrade Trinh Tien Duy, member of the Provincial Party Committee, former Secretary of the Cao Loc District Party Committee (formerly) was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Dong Dang Commune Party Committee, term 2025-2030.
According to Resolution No. 1672/NQ-UBTVQH15, Ky Lua Ward, Lang Son Province was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of Hoang Van Thu Ward, Cao Loc Town and Hop Thanh, Tan Lien and Gia Cat Communes (formerly Cao Loc District). This change has brought a new look to Ky Lua Ward, both in terms of scale and role in the region.
Ky Lua Ward currently has many potentials and advantages for comprehensive socio-economic development; the political system is constantly consolidated; national defense and security are maintained; the staff, civil servants and public employees basically meet the requirements of qualifications, capacity and sense of responsibility in performing their tasks.
In particular, the tradition of solidarity, high spirit of unity and deep trust of cadres, party members and people in the leadership of the Party continue to be a solid foundation for the rapid and sustainable development of the locality in the coming time.
After 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the Congress for the 2020-2025 term, with the solidarity, unity, efforts of the entire political system, consensus, and active participation of the people and business community, the Party Committee of Ky Lua ward has completed and exceeded 103/108 targets.
The consolidation and building of grassroots party organizations and improving the quality of party members have received attention and achieved important results. Currently, the Ky Lua Ward Party Committee has 96 branches and party committees with more than 3,000 party members; the party development work has been focused on, during the term, 216/190 new party members were admitted, reaching 113.7% of the resolution's target; 473 collectives, 1,322 individuals and households have received certificates of merit from Party committees and authorities at all levels.
During the 2025-2030 term, the Ky Lua Ward Party Committee sets out breakthroughs for strong development, focusing on: Building modern urban areas associated with synchronous infrastructure development, especially digital infrastructure.
Ky Lua Ward determines to increase the application of digital technology in urban planning, management and administration, towards building a smart, green, modern urban area, improving the quality of life of the people.

The 1st Congress of Delegates of Ky Lua Ward heard the announcement of the Decisions of the Standing Committee of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee appointing 31 comrades to participate in the Executive Committee and 11 comrades to participate in the Standing Committee.
Comrade Ha Minh Anh, former Deputy Chief of Office of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of Ky Lua ward for the 2025-2030 term.
*Dong Kinh Ward, Lang Son Province was established on the basis of merging the original status of 4 old administrative units (including Dong Kinh Ward, Vinh Trai Ward, Mai Pha Commune of Lang Son City and Yen Trach Commune of Cao Loc District before).
Dong Kinh Ward was formed as a key ward, political, economic and cultural center of Lang Son province, with an area of 54.71km2 ; population of 50,436 people, this is one of the most populous wards of the province.
Currently, Dong Kinh ward has many key projects of the province, including the Huu Nghi-Chi Lang border gate expressway project.
At the 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2025-2030, Dong Kinh Ward Party Committee determined to effectively exploit potential advantages to make a breakthrough in development, worthy of being the central urban ward of the province... This is one of the first commune-level Party Congresses selected to be held in the province.
In the 2025-2030 term, Dong Kinh ward sets a target of an average annual increase of 10% or more in state budget revenue; average income per capita in the area by 2030 will increase by 25% compared to 2025. The ward strives to achieve urban civilization standards by 2030.
In addition, Dong Kinh ward also aims to establish 80 new businesses each year (the rate of businesses applying digital technology is 65% or more); attract 1.8 million tourists/year, with total tourism revenue reaching about 2,100 billion VND.
During the 2025-2030 term, Dong Kinh ward sets out a breakthrough in developing socio-economic infrastructure, focusing on transport infrastructure, modern urban areas, and accelerating urbanization.

At the 1st Congress of delegates, the Dong Kinh Ward Party Committee heard the announcement of the decision of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Inspection Committee, Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Dong Kinh Ward Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
Accordingly, comrade Phung Quang Hoi, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, former Secretary of Lang Son City Party Committee, was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of Dong Kinh Ward Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
