The 2025 Women's Volleyball World Championship in Thailand has completed the group stage with full drama, as the top teams have all entered the round of 16.
Defending champions Serbia continued to assert their class by securing an early ticket, but their ambition to defend their title was threatened by the injury of star Tijana Boskovic.
In the same group, Japan also advanced early and promises to create an exciting match with Serbia to compete for the top spot in Group H.

In Group C, runner-up Brazil still showed superiority with a series of three consecutive victories, along with France, winning the right to enter the knockout round.
The US – the team that ranked 4th in the tournament 3 years ago – also proved its strength in Group D. Despite having just experienced a turbulent VNL, they still dominated Slovenia, Argentina and the Czech Republic.
The race for the second place in this group was fierce until the last minute, with Slovenia surpassing two South American and European opponents thanks to the extra index.
Meanwhile, number 1 candidate Italy easily won all 1 against Belgium, Cuba and Slovakia, while Belgium also showed the difference to win the remaining ticket. Türkiye and Canada advanced in Group E, while Group F saw China and Dominican Republic enter the next round.

In Group A, host Thailand played impressively, winning tickets to the next round along with the Netherlands. Group G with the presence of Vietnam did not bring any surprises: Germany and Poland took the top two positions, while the Vietnamese women's volleyball team could not have a historic victory when they lost 0-3 to Kenya.
The round of 16 matches of the 2025 Women's Volleyball World Championship will kick off from August 29-31, promising top-notch confrontations.
