
The event is part of a series of activities organized by the Consulate General of Vietnam in Khon Kaen, Thailand, to honor President Ho Chi Minh and celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day.
The bookcase includes more than 300 books selected and donated by the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace this time, which are valuable sources of documents about President Ho Chi Minh in Vietnamese, Thai and English.

Many of these books have just been released by the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace. Mr. Nguyen Van Duong, Deputy Director of the Presidential Palace Relic Site, said that these are valuable documents related to President Ho Chi Minh, which were presented to the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site in Udon Thani province so that the site can have more research and propaganda materials about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh, especially the period when he worked in Thailand in the years 1928 - 1929 of the last century.
According to the Management Board of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site in Udon Thani province, the Uncle Ho bookshelf is not only a priceless spiritual gift, but also a treasure trove of knowledge, with profound historical and cultural values, an important source of documents, contributing to educating the young generation and the Vietnamese community in Udon Thani in particular and Thailand in general about Ho Chi Minh's Thought, patriotic traditions and the spirit of national solidarity.

The Management Board is committed to preserving, effectively using and maximizing the value of the bookcase, to serve the people, the Vietnamese community in Udon Thani and visitors, thereby spreading the spirit of solidarity and national pride to present and future generations.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Van, Deputy Manager of the Ho Chi Minh Relic Site in Udon Thani, said that in addition to Vietnamese children living here, there is also a Thai school learning Vietnamese, so there are also training activities, bringing groups to visit, study and lend books. According to her, all students in Udon Thani can come to borrow books to learn about Uncle Ho's morality, ideology and career so that in the future they will be more attached to Vietnam.

On this occasion, delegates attending the ceremony to present the Uncle Ho bookcase planted a Buddha tree, which was grown from a Buddha tree seed grown in the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace.
Previously, the delegation of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace also presented Uncle Ho's bookcase with more than 300 books and planted a Buddha tree at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Nakhon Phanom province, Northeast Thailand.
