The first two teams to qualify for the quarter-finals of the 2023 Asian Cup have been determined.

In the match at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, Australia had little difficulty against Indonesia. The Australian team led 2-0 after the first half thanks to an own goal by the opposing defender and a powerful header in the 45th minute by Martin Boyle.

In the second half, Australia slowed down the pace of the game to protect their lead. Towards the end of the match, Graham Arnold's players scored two more goals against Indonesia, securing a 4-0 victory and becoming the first team to qualify for the quarter-finals.

In the subsequent match, Tajikistan and UAE needed a penalty shootout to decide the winner. The two teams were tied 1-1 after regulation time and extra time. In the tense shootout, Tajikistan won 5-3, thus securing the overall victory.
