Setting a record: Planting trees - planting 1 million trees in the shortest time

Representative of Panasonic Vietnam Co., Ltd. received the Certificate of Record for Planting Trees - planting 1 million trees in the shortest time.

On the morning of March 18, at Hoa Binh 1 Wind Power Plant (Hoa Binh district), the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment; Vietnam Record Organization in collaboration with Panasonic Vietnam Co., Ltd. organized a ceremony to receive the Record: Planting trees - planting 1 million trees in the shortest time at the program "Living healthy, contributing green with Panasonic". Attending the ceremony were Dr. Le Doan Hop - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Minister of Information and Communications, Chairman of the Council for establishing Vietnam Record Organization; Lieutenant General, Hero of the People's Armed Forces - Pham Tuan, Honorary Chairman of the Vietnam Record Celestial Bridge System; partners of Panasonic Vietnam Co., Ltd. On the side of Bac Lieu province, there were representatives of the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Office of the Provincial People's Committee, and relevant departments, branches and sectors.

Launched in 2022, the Healthy Living - Green Contribution program was implemented by Panasonic to aim at the goal of Panasonic Green Impact (Green Commitment) and the Government's Project to plant one billion trees in the period of 2021 - 2025. Accordingly, for each product such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and products in the Healthcare Solution Set sold, Panasonic will plant one tree to develop forests for a healthy green Vietnam. After only 3 years of implementation, Panasonic is proud to be the enterprise that set a Vietnamese record with more than 1 million trees planted nationwide in the shortest time. This is not only an important milestone recognizing Panasonic's practical contributions to the community but also an opportunity to express gratitude to customers and partners who have accompanied the Group.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Marukawa Yoichi - General Director of Panasonic Vietnam Co., Ltd. shared: “We are extremely proud that Panasonic Vietnam was recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization as the “Unit that initiated and successfully planted 1 million trees in the shortest time” through the program Live Healthy - Contribute Green with Panasonic.
