The switch to the new fuel type from June 1st not only raises concerns among car and motorcycle users about engine compatibility but also has significant implications for the agricultural sector.
Many farmers are asking whether machinery such as plows, tractors, lawn mowers, chainsaws, generators, etc., are compatible and will operate stably with E10 gasoline.
Speaking to PLO , Mr. Dao Duy Anh, Deputy Director of the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), said that most agricultural machinery such as tractors and plows do not run on gasoline but on diesel fuel.

Regarding E10 gasoline, a representative from the Ministry of Industry and Trade stated that gasoline-powered machines such as generators, lawnmowers, and tractors manufactured in recent years all run well with E10 gasoline.
Gasoline-powered machines such as generators and lawnmowers manufactured in recent years all run well with E10 gasoline.
For older machines that were previously and will soon no longer be required to run on A95 gasoline, they can still be used effectively with E5 gasoline, with the same performance but at a lower cost.
"For consumers, especially farmers or large-scale production facilities, a difference of a few hundred dong per liter of gasoline is a huge issue."
Therefore, unless it is mandatory to use A95 gasoline as recommended by the vehicle or engine manufacturer, there is no reason to pay extra for this type of fuel," Mr. Duy Anh shared.
