Gasoline increased by more than 500 VND/liter, to nearly 25,000 VND/liter

After the adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, from 3:00 p.m. on March 28, each liter of RON95-III gasoline increased by VND532/liter, to VND24,816/liter, the prices of other types of oil were adjusted up and down alternately.

Gasoline prices increased from 3:00 p.m. on March 28.

Specifically, after making provisions and spending the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products, the price of E5RON92 gasoline increased by VND 406/liter, not higher than VND 23,625/liter; RON95-III gasoline was not higher than VND 24,816/liter (an increase of VND 532/liter compared to the current base price).

The prices of various types of oil are adjusted up and down alternately. Diesel 0.05S is not higher than VND 20,693/liter (down VND 321/liter compared to the current base price); Kerosene is not higher than VND 20,879/liter (down VND 387/liter compared to the current base price); Mazut 180CST 3.5S is not higher than VND 17,145/kg (up VND 46/kg compared to the current base price).

In this operating session, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance decided to set aside the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for fuel oil at 300 VND/kg, and not set aside the BOG Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil and kerosene.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world oil market in this operating period (from March 21, 2024 to March 27, 2024) is affected by factors such as: many Russian oil refining infrastructures have to reduce operating capacity due to the impact of Ukraine's military activities targeting these infrastructures, the Russian Government requires domestic energy companies to cut crude oil production as committed to OPEC+, the tension in the Middle East continues... The above factors have caused world oil prices in recent days to fluctuate between increases and decreases depending on each commodity.

The average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the price adjustment period of March 21, 2024 and the adjustment period of March 28, 2024 is: 100.484 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (up 2.144 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 2.18%); 105.018 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (up 2.618 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 2.56%); 102.292 USD/barrel of kerosene (down 2.466 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.35%); 102.620 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel oil (down 2.070 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.98%); 488.122 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (up 0.782 USD/ton, equivalent to an increase of 0.16%).
