The project scope includes: leveling the ground on a plot of land approximately 2.89 hectares in size; constructing a thematic exhibition block (Level I building), 3 stories high, with a total floor area of 1,295 m² (the core for exhibitions in the initial phase); constructing Level III technical infrastructure items such as a 399 m long main road, an 18 m long girder bridge, a guardhouse, a parking lot, and other supporting systems.

The project aims to prepare the site, address weak soil conditions, build infrastructure, and construct essential facilities to serve exhibitions, scientific research, and the preservation of specimens related to biodiversity, geology-minerals, and the environment. Through this, it contributes to the conservation and promotion of the value of the national natural heritage; and simultaneously meets the requirements for scientific dissemination and community education .
The project is understood to be an important step in the overall formation of the future Vietnam Natural History Museum, creating a foundation for research in biodiversity, geology, environment, and community education.
This also marks an important milestone in the process of realizing the Government 's orientation on planning and developing the system of Natural History Museums in Vietnam.

The Vietnam Museum of Nature is expected to become a place for preserving and honoring the natural values of the country; at the same time, it will become a center for research, education, and community connection in the effort to protect the environment and promote sustainable development.
