On June 30, at 10/3 Square in Buon Ma Thuot city, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak solemnly held a ceremony to announce the resolutions and decisions of the Central and local governments on merging administrative units, establishing party organizations, and appointing Party committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of the new Dak Lak province.

At the program, comrade Phan Thang An, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, announced the National Assembly's Resolution on the establishment of Dak Lak province and the resolutions and decisions of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee on ending district-level activities and establishing communes and wards in Dak Lak province.

Accordingly, after merging the entire Phu Yen province and Dak Lak province into the new Dak Lak province, it has an area of 18,096.40 km2 , a population of 3,346,853 people, with 102 commune-level administrative units, including 88 communes and 14 wards, of which 82 communes and 14 wards were formed after the arrangement, renamed and 6 communes did not carry out the arrangement, namely Ea H'leo, Ea Trang, Ia Lop, Ia Rve, Krong No, Vu Bon communes.
Establishing the new Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee on the basis of merging the two Provincial Party Committees of Dak Lak and Phu Yen (old). The Secretariat appointed the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the 2020-2025 term after the merger and consolidation, consisting of 12 comrades, and appointed comrade Tran Trung Hien, member of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, Head of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee and four Vice Chairmen of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee.
The National Assembly Standing Committee appointed Comrade Cao Thi Hoa An, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term and appointed two Vice Chairmen of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Council, including Comrade Tran Phu Hung, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Comrade Do Thai Phong, member of the Provincial Party Committee.
