Building Gia Lai province to develop rapidly and sustainably

After nearly 3 days of active, urgent, serious, democratic and responsible work, the 1st Congress of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030 has completed all the contents of the Program. At the Congress, 449 delegates representing over 147,000 party members from 139 party committees discussed and decided on many important issues to build Gia Lai to develop rapidly and sustainably, striving to develop the province to become a well-off province in the country.

The Congress passed the Resolution of the 1st Congress of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030. With the goal of building a clean and strong Party Committee and political system; ensuring national defense, security, social security; promoting tradition, cultural identity, the strength of great national unity, will and aspiration to rise up; promoting the development of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, green transformation, private economy; building Gia Lai province to develop rapidly and sustainably, becoming a center of processing industry, manufacturing, renewable energy, high-tech agriculture, services, tourism, semiconductor chips, artificial intelligence (AI); striving to make Gia Lai a fairly developed province and together with the whole country firmly enter a new era of development.

In particular, the Congress agreed on 10 economic targets, 14 social targets, 7 environmental targets and 2 targets on Party building.

Notably, the target of the growth rate of gross local product (GRDP) in the period of 2025 - 2030 is to strive to reach 10% - 10.5%/year (2010 comparative price). GRDP per capita reaches 6,300 - 6,500 USD. By 2030, the total budget revenue in the province will reach over 41,000 billion VND. Total export turnover in the period of 2026 - 2030 will reach over 17 billion USD. By 2030, strive to welcome 18.5 million tourists; including 1.1 million international visitors; the rate of schools recognized as meeting national standards will reach at least 80.5%; maintain 100% of medical stations with working doctors; 100% of communes and wards will meet the national criteria on commune health; reduce the rate of poor households lower than the national average...

To achieve the set goals and targets, the Congress has set out 4 main groups of tasks and solutions; 5 growth pillars; 4 breakthroughs in the 2025 - 2030 term.

In his closing speech at the Congress, comrade Ho Quoc Dung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, affirmed that the 1st Provincial Party Congress was a great success. It was the result of the serious and responsible preparation process of the entire Party Committee, the entire people and the entire army, of all levels, sectors and localities in the province; it was the result of urgent work with the spirit of innovation, democracy, intelligence, solidarity and high responsibility of the delegates attending the Congress. The great success of the Congress was also the result of the close and close direction of the Politburo, the Party Central Committee Secretariat and the guidance and assistance of the Party Central Committees. The success of the Congress is an excitement, a great source of strength, encouraging the entire Party Committee, the entire army and people of all ethnic groups in the province to continue promoting the cause of building and developing the province in the new era.

On behalf of the Presidium, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Rah Lan Chung announced the Politburo's Decision to appoint delegates to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party. Specifically, the Politburo decided to appoint 36 official delegates to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party and 2 alternate delegates.

At the same time, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee announced the Secretariat's Decision on appointing the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 14 comrades.
