On the morning of June 4, the Traffic Police Department of Hue City Police is still actively coordinating with related units to investigate and clarify the cause of the traffic accident between a passenger bus and a truck that occurred on the National Highway 1A bypass through Hue City.

Accordingly, at about 1:30 a.m. the same day, passenger car with license plate 36B-036.16 driven by Mai Van Hai (born in 1977, residing in Nga Yen commune, Nga Son district, Thanh Hoa province) was traveling in the South - North direction.
When reaching Km 10+100 of the National Highway 1A bypass in Long Ho ward (Phu Xuan district, Hue city), the passenger bus collided with a truck with license plate 17H-011.84 driven by Vu Quoc Viet (born in 1981, residing in Lo Giang commune, Dong Hung district, Thai Binh province) who was reversing in the opposite direction.
The severe collision caused the death of the VNHA bus assistant (born in 2005, residing in Nga Yen commune, Nga Son district, Thanh Hoa province); the driver Mai Van Hai and 4 passengers on the bus were injured, including 2 with broken legs. The victims were immediately transferred to Hue Central Hospital for emergency treatment. The accident caused the front of the bus to be completely damaged and deformed, many pieces of glass on the bus were shattered; the truck was severely damaged.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Traffic Police Department of Hue City Police dispatched officers and soldiers to the scene to investigate the cause of the accident and regulate traffic in the area. Traffic police conducted drug and alcohol tests on driver Vu Quoc Viet, thereby determining that the driver was negative for drugs and did not violate the alcohol concentration.
