7-seat car falls into "death hole" in Hanoi due to broken water pipe

While passing through the De La Thanh - Nguyen Chi Thanh intersection, a 7-seat car suddenly fell into a "death hole".

On the afternoon of August 16, a 7-seat car was traveling on Nguyen Chi Thanh Street towards Dao Tan when it suddenly fell into a "death hole" when passing the intersection with De La Thanh.

The incident caused the left rear wheel to sink deep into the hole, and the left front wheel to become deflated. At the scene, it was noted that a water pipe had burst in the "death hole", so water was still flooding a section of the road.

After the incident, Traffic Police Team No. 2 ( Hanoi Traffic Police Department) sent officers to the scene to direct traffic and coordinate with local authorities to handle the incident.

According to the initial assessment of Hanoi Traffic Construction Joint Stock Company, the cause was a broken water pipe causing the road surface to collapse. Previously, this area had also experienced water overflows like this. It is expected that the authorities will have to dig up the road to handle the situation.
