Spring-summer fashion is often more liberal and creative than other seasons, not following the established trends but leaning towards the personality of the user. With the maximalist style, customers can choose, mix and match clothes, patterns, materials, and accessories to highlight each person's personality. Therefore, spring-summer fashion is often diverse in color and bold in expression.

At the recent Venice International Film Festival, spring-summer designs gradually appeared through the outfits of the stars on the red carpet. Rebecca Marder with a silk shirt dress tied at the neck (pictured), Greta Lee stood out with a navy blue dress and a giant bow at the hem, and Chloë Sevigny with an outfit full of ribbons and satin bows. According to analyst Aoife Byrne, the feminine style, highlighted by sleeves, collars with accents such as peter pan collars, pussybow bows and ruffles, is predicted to be the king in spring-summer 2026. Accordingly, this product line has been seen in the collections of brands such as Chanel, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Dior...

In September and October 2025, New York Fashion Week (USA), London (UK), Paris (France), Milan (Italy) also began with collections introduced to fashionistas. Specifically, New York Fashion Week just took place from September 11 to 16 with many impressive collections. More than 60 shows of many famous brands: Michael Kors, Calvin Klein Collection, Tory Burch, Jason Wu, Prabal Gurung, LaQuan Smith, Altuzarra, Eckhaus Latta, Collina Strada... participated. Fashion designer Tory Burch, who launched an impressive collection combining feminine beauty with contemporary influences, said: "For spring - summer 2026, we aim for a balance between tradition and modernity, between strength and softness, promoting the versatility of today's women". Accordingly, manual techniques are the highlight of this collection, meticulous and highly personalized. The garments' motifs are inspired by classic embroidery patterns, each representing a member of the Tory Burch design team, providing a personal story behind the motifs.

Pattern accents are also becoming a trend in spring-summer 2026 designs, according to trend forecasting company WGSN. Brands are increasingly investing in bold prints to highlight outfits. According to Heuitech, a trend forecasting platform using image recognition technology on Instagram, the appearance of zebra patterns is expected to increase by 21% in Europe and 17% in the US. Snake skin patterns are forecast to increase by 22% in Europe and 6% in the US. Meanwhile, Ms. Leatrice Eiseman, CEO of Pantone Color Institute, said: "Young people today are not afraid of anything. Stripes go with polka dots, plaid goes with patterns, things that were once considered impossible to combine are now the new accents." Plaid and polka dot outfits are also gradually reappearing, combined in contrasting layers. Personal color will become more prominent through freedom of creativity and outfit coordination.

Heuritech also predicts that the popular colors are cerulean blue, baby blue, and ultramarine blue. Ms. Kim Cupido from WGSN said that ice blue will be the main color of the season, shown through the outfits of many stars on the red carpet of the Venice International Film Festival, such as Emily Blunt, Alexa Chung... In addition, pastel shades of gray, pastel shades, green and pink will also become the main colors, not only appearing in party wear but also spreading to more practical designs. Accordingly, the collections of fashion houses in Milan and Paris gradually appear with these colors.
