On the afternoon of April 27, the Khanh Tien Border Guard Station announced that it is finalizing the paperwork to handle a case of illegal fishing using electric shock devices.

• Strictly punish the illegal use of electric shock devices for fishing.
• Tighten control over illegal fishing activities.
• Two individuals were apprehended for using electric shock devices to illegally harvest aquatic resources.

Earlier, on the night of April 26th, during a patrol and inspection in the U Minh Ha forest area under the 30/4 Sub-district, the unit's forces, in coordination with relevant forces, discovered a person operating a boat and using an electric shock device to harvest aquatic resources.

During questioning, Mr. TVĐ admitted to using an electric shock device to exploit aquatic resources.

Upon inspection, the suspect was identified as TVĐ (residing in Hamlet 18, U Minh Commune, Ca Mau Province). The task force temporarily seized the evidence, including an electric shock device, battery, wires, and fishing equipment, and requested that the vehicle be brought to the unit for further investigation.

The task force proceeded to temporarily seize the infringing items.

At the authorities' office, Mr. D. admitted to the violation. The case is currently being further processed to be handled according to the law .
