At noon on January 6, the Vietnamese team departed for Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok) to return home on Vietnam Airlines flight VN610.

The flight took off at 12:20 on January 6 at Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok) and is expected to land at around 14:30 at Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi).
Striker Nguyen Xuan Son had to be moved on a stretcher before being transferred to a wheelchair to board the plane to return home with the Vietnamese team.
According to the plan, the double-decker bus will pick up the Vietnamese team when they return to Hanoi at 2:30 p.m. on January 6. It is expected that in the evening of the same day, Mr. Kim Sang-sik and his team will be present at the Government Office to report the results and celebrate their achievements.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will welcome and congratulate the Vietnamese team on their victory at the 2024 ASEAN Cup and present the First Class Labor Medal to the Vietnamese team.
Defeating Thailand with a total score of 5-3 after two final matches, the Vietnamese team excellently won the ASEAN Cup 2024 right on the opponent's field. With a bonus of 300,000 USD for the ASEAN Cup champion from the Southeast Asian Football Federation, the Vietnamese team can receive more than 18 billion VND when becoming the regional football champion.
The flight carrying the ASEAN Cup champions is expected to land at Noi Bai airport at 2:30 p.m., and will be welcomed by leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of International Cooperation, the Department of Physical Training and Sports and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) at VIP A guest house.
