The atmosphere of the reunion became even more emotional when the soldier read a handwritten letter to his family. Soldier Nguyen Ngo Tien Duy shared that in the early days away from home, entering the military environment was quite daunting, especially when getting used to the regular routines and military discipline.

In a letter to his mother, Duy wrote: “I understand that behind every step of our growth is the love, worry, and silent sacrifice of our parents and relatives. I promise to continue striving in my studies and training, strictly adhering to discipline, constantly improving, and living up to the trust and love of my family.”

Speaking on behalf of the families of the new recruits, Mr. Vo Van Hung said that from initial anxiety about their children being away from home for the first time, the families gradually felt reassured as they witnessed their sons living disciplined, responsible lives, demonstrating independence and strong bonds with their comrades. Through the soldiers' family Zalo groups, relatives regularly receive updates on their studies, training, and daily life, thereby alleviating their longing for their sons and increasing their confidence in the training environment at the unit.
