On the morning of May 26, Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School (District 1) held a ceremony to summarize the 2022-2023 school year and honor the growth of grade 5 students.

Ms. Do Ngoc Chi, Principal of Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School, said that in the 2022-2023 school year, the whole school has 344 grade 5 students. The rate of students completing primary school and receiving certificates of completion of primary school is 100%.

At the ceremony, students from each class took turns giving flowers to thank their homeroom teachers from grades 1 to 5, and also expressed their gratitude to the nannies, catering staff, service staff and parents for accompanying and taking care of them during the first 5 years of high school.

The moment the students walked up to their teachers and parents to pin roses on their chests moved many people.

Ms. Hinh Hoang Thuan Thien, homeroom teacher of class 5/3, Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School, said: "When the children pin roses on their shirts, I feel very happy and touched. I will leave them on until the end of class, not take them off, and keep them carefully when I get home in the afternoon to keep a memory with the children."

The homeroom teacher of grade 5 took the opportunity to give instructions to the students before saying goodbye to the elementary school and moving on to the new level of education.

With the same feeling, Ms. Dao Bich Ngoc, a nanny for class 5/1, Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School, said: "9 months of accompanying the children has left me with many close feelings. I hope that when the children move to a new environment, they will have more friends and new teachers who will love them. I will remember each face of the 41 students of class 5/1."

The children bowed their heads to thank their teachers and parents.

In addition, during the gratitude ceremony, class representatives read their final elementary school writing assignment to their parents and teachers.

Tears were shed among the parents. Most of the parents said they felt very proud to see their children grow up.

At the end of the ceremony, all 5th grade students performed the song "Nguyen Binh Khiem March" as a gift to their teachers and parents after 5 years of studying at the school.
