DNO - Within the framework of a working trip to the Federal Republic of Germany, on May 30, a delegation of Da Nang city led by Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh worked with the Frankfurt city government.

Frankfurt Mayor Mike Josef expressed his pleasure to welcome the city delegation to visit and work in Frankfurt; he said that Frankfurt is a city in the southwest, located along the banks of the Main River. This is the 5th largest city in Germany with an area of nearly 250km2 . Frankfurt is the financial and banking center of Europe and the world , and is the headquarters of the European Central Bank and major banks in the world .
In addition, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange is one of the largest stock exchanges in the world. In addition, Frankfurt is considered a fair city and an important transportation hub of Germany and Europe.
Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh congratulated Mr. Mike Josef on his new position as Mayor of Frankfurt and expressed his honor to be welcomed by the mayor and work with the delegation.
At the same time, introduce Da Nang - a coastal city in the Central region of Vietnam, with a relatively synchronous urban infrastructure, focusing on developing key industries such as: tourism services, high-tech industry, information technology, logistics and forming an international financial center.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee shared the purpose of the delegation's working trip to the UK, Switzerland and Germany. The delegation introduced and promoted the potential, advantages, and investment and business environment of Da Nang.
In particular, introducing the Danang International Financial Center project with a model based on 3 main functions: providing offshore financial services (OFC); Financial technology center (fintech) and activities supporting financial activities.
Danang International Financial Center is planned to be built on a land area of nearly 6.2 hectares, located close to the sea, with the best connectivity and infrastructure conditions in the city, possessing the potential of an international-class living and working space, meeting the requirements of organizations, businesses, and investors in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Germany.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee highly appreciated the support of organizations and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany for Da Nang in recent times.
Currently, Da Nang is receiving an ODA project on promoting the effective use of resources and technical infrastructure systems in the context of industry and regional linkages - sponsored by the German Ministry of Education and Research.
At the same time, many large enterprises in Da Nang have good trade relations with German partners.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee hopes that the Frankfurt City government will create favorable conditions for businesses in Frankfurt to come to Da Nang to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in areas where Frankfurt has strengths such as international finance, banking, fintech, tourism, trade and logistics services.
Based on the potential and strengths of each locality, with the spirit of dialogue to promote the relationship between the two cities, Mayor of Frankfurt Mike Josef and Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh agreed that in the coming time, the two cities will promote a direct flight from Da Nang to Frankfurt to connect the two localities, creating conditions to promote tourism development, trade, training cooperation, cultural exchange and attract businesses and investors in Frankfurt and surrounding areas to Da Nang to invest and do business.
