Previously, at around 6:30 p.m. the same day, people in Xuan Phuoc commune discovered a mobile phone and citizen identification card (CCCD) "forgotten" on the shore of Phu Xuan lake.
Information on the CCCD shows that he is Mr. Ngo T (born in 1971, residing in Xuan Binh village, An Xuan commune, Tuy An district, Phu Yen province before - now Tay Tuy An commune, Dak Lak province).
According to some sources, in the previous days, Mr. T often rented a rowing boat from local people to cast a net to catch fish in Phu Xuan Lake. Today, Mr. T left home at 12 noon but did not rent a boat as usual, while his phone and ID card were left on the lake shore, and he was missing.
Immediately after receiving information from Xuan Phuoc Commune Police, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 9 under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Dak Lak Province mobilized 6 officers and soldiers carrying rescue tools, led by Lieutenant Colonel, Team Leader Nguyen Ngoc Hoang Than, to get in a car and rush to the scene, coordinating with dozens of people including police, militia, members of the security and order team and local people to deploy the search plan. Due to the large Phu Xuan reservoir and the pitch-black night, the search operation encountered many difficulties.
