With the spirit of "serving the people," officers and soldiers work without holidays, even on weekends, flexibly streamlining procedures to facilitate citizens; with the goal of completing the issuance of identity cards to 100% of students and disadvantaged individuals by June 15, 2026, and simultaneously receiving more than 42,800 applications from citizens over 14 years old.
Officers and soldiers of the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order of the Provincial Public Security Department are processing identity card applications for children and students at the Provincial Public Administrative Service Center.
The Administrative Police Department for Social Order of the Provincial Police organized the issuance of identity cards for the children of officers and soldiers. Lieutenant Colonel Le Trung Nghia, Deputy Head of the Department, said: “We proactively deployed forces and resources, maintained work throughout holidays, and streamlined the process to create the most favorable conditions for people, especially children and the children of officers and soldiers, to receive identity cards promptly. This contributes to the effective implementation of the high-priority targets as planned.”
At the grassroots level, in just two days during the holiday, the Phuoc Long commune police received over 400 applications, nearly 200 of which involved children. The An Xuyen ward police coordinated with schools to schedule appointments at appropriate times to avoid congestion. The mobile ID card issuance model at schools in An Trach commune also helped students complete the procedures quickly.
Lieutenant Colonel Dang Ngoc Trieu, Head of An Xuyen Ward Police, shared: “The unit has identified the issuance of identity cards to children as a key task during this peak period. We have proactively coordinated with schools and local forces to organize the process of receiving applications in a systematic manner , avoiding congestion, and creating the best conditions for parents and students. This contributes to increasing the rate of identity card issuance, meeting the set deadline.”
A large number of students came to the Phước Long Commune Police Station to get their identity cards.
At the ID card issuance point, many parents expressed satisfaction with the dedicated service of the police force.
Mr. Tran Van Phuc from Phuoc Long commune said: “I work far from home and only return during holidays. Thanks to the commune police working throughout the holidays, I was able to take my child to get an identity card in time. This method is very practical and helps people save time.”
Taking advantage of the opportunity to bring her child to get an identity card, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, from Hamlet 12, An Xuyen Ward, commented: "Even on a holiday, the police officers were still very enthusiastic, providing thorough guidance and handling the procedures quickly and efficiently, which was very convenient."
At these locations, police officers enthusiastically received and processed applications for identity cards and personal identification for children and students during the holiday season.
According to statistics, the entire province has received more than 30,800 applications for identity cards, of which over 20,000 are for children under 14 years old; in just two days (April 30th and May 1st), more than 2,200 applications were received, involving over 1,100 children.
The spirit of working through holidays and the flexible organization of activities not only contribute to achieving targets but also spread the image of dedicated police officers who are close to the people and serve the people.
