Barcelona are currently on an Asian tour and preparing for a friendly against FC Seoul in the South Korean capital. The players are having a hard time in the hot and humid weather.
However, the atmosphere in the training session was still quite positive. Especially after scoring, Yamal even celebrated in Rashford's style, thereby showing the closeness between the two.
According to The Athletic , Rashford and Yamal kept in touch for months before the England striker completed his transfer to Barcelona. Rashford is said to have texted several players in the Barca dressing room, including Yamal, to express his desire to join the team.
Reporter Laurie Whitwell confirmed: "Rashford's only intention this summer is to join Barcelona. If the deal falls through, the player will stay at Manchester United, despite the uncertainties surrounding his position and relationship with coach Ruben Amorim."
Rashford will play for a club outside England for the first time, and will be given a chance to return to the Champions League. Rashford hopes to regain his form and earn a place in the England squad for the 2026 World Cup.
After a 3-1 win over J-League champions Vissel Kobe, Barca will next face FC Seoul on the evening of July 31, before concluding their Asian tour with a clash with Daegu FC on August 4.
