On October 16, the Organizing Committee of the Miss Grand International 2025 pageant announced the top 8 of the Country's Power of the Year voting.

Accordingly, Vietnam's representative - Yen Nhi - is in the top 8 with representatives from Guatemala, Philippines, Peru, Thailand, Indonesia, Paraguay, Myanmar. They will continue to compete for the only ticket of this competition.

On October 16, the Organizing Committee also announced the top 20 Swimsuit Shows of this year’s season. Accordingly, the representative of Vietnam is also on this list.

According to the rules of the Organizing Committee of the contest, the winners of the sub-categories such as: Talent, Debate, Swimsuit, National Costume, Country's Power of the Year all have the opportunity to go straight to the top 20 before the final. As for the Miss Popular Vote (Most Favorite Contestant) fee, the winner will go straight to the top 10.

Before receiving the good news, Yen Nhi had a very successful semi-final night and received many compliments from the audience watching the competition on the evening of October 15.

The international beauty website Missosology has predicted the top 20 but they did not include the Vietnamese representative in this list. According to international beauty websites, the Vietnamese representative encountered many difficulties.

The controversy over her statements and her limited English comprehension ability has caused domestic audiences to have an unfavorable view of Yen Nhi. This is demonstrated by the low voting rate for Yen Nhi in the Miss Popular Vote category, which once stopped at 0%.

Currently, this number has increased by 1% but still not enough for Yen Nhi to be in the top 10 Miss Popular Vote. With this number, the possibility of Yen Nhi entering the top 10 through voting is impossible. The beauty can only compete for a place in the top 20 through the sub-contests or by her own personal ability.

Experts also commented that Yen Nhi’s limitation is a spreading factor. Yen Nhi’s interaction with the media is high but still modest compared to the representatives of Thailand or the Philippines. This makes her less noticeable in the filming activities of the contest.

The Vietnamese representative with the best performance at Miss Grand International is Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien. She was crowned in the 2021 season. In the 2024 season, the Vietnamese representative - Que Anh - did not make it to the top.

The final of Miss Grand International 2025 will take place on October 18 in Thailand. The current holder of the Miss Grand International crown is Christine Juliane Opiaza from the Philippines.
