The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has recently sent a document to the Education and Training Departments of districts, towns, and cities; high schools, multi-level schools, and vocational education and continuing education centers in districts, towns, and cities, providing guidance on organizing review sessions for the high school graduation exam and the entrance exam to grade 10.
Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training requests that units and schools proactively review, supplement, and adjust their educational plans (if necessary), ensuring the completion of the curriculum according to the academic year timeframe issued by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; and continue to implement comprehensive solutions to ensure the quality of the 2018 General Education Program. Regular and periodic tests and assessments should be conducted in accordance with the required learning outcomes of the curriculum, without creating pressure for students to attend extra classes. Cutting short the curriculum for any subject is strictly prohibited.
Schools continue to effectively implement the assignment of teachers to ensure the prescribed teaching load, prioritizing appropriate assignments for teachers teaching in the final year to have maximum time to support students in preparing for the 10th grade entrance exam and the high school graduation exam; encouraging teachers to utilize software and websites for online review, providing online review materials, testing, and assessment, and managing students' review process.
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has instructed schools to review and classify students' academic levels in order to develop plans for review and enrichment; create conditions for students to study in groups; and have high-achieving students provide additional support to help students who are struggling with learning to supplement their basic knowledge and skills.
Units must absolutely not relax the organization of review and remedial classes for students whose academic results are below the required level; they must not organize widespread, inappropriate, ineffective, or wasteful review classes.
The school continues to familiarize 9th and 12th grade students with the structure and format of the exams announced by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Department of Education and Training; and organizes training sessions for staff, teachers, and students on the exam regulations...
Previously, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training sent a document to the Ministry of Education and Training proposing to adjust the schedule for the 2025 high school graduation exam to an earlier date than the previously announced draft. In addition, three localities (Ho Chi Minh City, Nghe An, and Ninh Binh) also proposed that the 2025 high school graduation exam be held in early June.
Currently, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training is awaiting the official exam schedule from the Ministry of Education and Training. Based on any adjustments (if necessary), the Department will advise the Hanoi People's Committee to adjust the exam and enrollment plan for grade 10 to ensure it is appropriate and effective.
