The patriotic emulation movements launched continuously, enthusiastically, and widely by Ha Tinh province have created a widespread impact and immense spiritual strength, motivating Party committees, government agencies, and all sectors of the population to resolutely and effectively carry out political tasks in the locality.

"Competition is patriotism, and patriotism requires competition."

Ha Tinh is considered a shining example, a leading locality nationwide in building new rural areas, and is in the process of achieving the goal of building a new rural province by 2025. This achievement is thanks to the wise leadership and guidance of the Party committee and government, and the determination, unity, and competitive spirit of all sectors of the people.

Mai Phu commune (Loc Ha district) is determined to build a new rural area exceeding the set plan.

Starting from a low baseline in building new rural areas, the officials and people of Mai Phu commune (Loc Ha district) have become even more aware of their responsibility in transforming their homeland and villages. The resolution of the commune's Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term set the goal of building an advanced new rural commune by 2024, but with unwavering determination and effort, Mai Phu achieved this goal by the end of 2021 – three years ahead of schedule.

Building new rural areas has become a conscious effort and a vibrant emulation movement among every official and citizen of Mai Phu commune.

Chairman of Mai Phu Commune People's Committee, Nguyen Xuan Bac, shared: “To build a new rural area, we must first build a new mindset and new people. In participating in the construction of the new rural area, the people of Mai Phu have voluntarily donated thousands of ^square meters of land, contributed labor and tens of billions of dong, and wholeheartedly worked with the government to successfully achieve the goal. Building a new rural area has now become a conscious effort of every official and citizen; it is a vibrant, regular, and practical emulation movement among villages, hamlets, and organizations.”

Starting from nothing, and driven by a genuine love for hard work, Mr. Le Manh Hung in Huong Tra commune (Huong Khe district) has built a multi-million dollar farm.

In the spirit of building their homeland, the people of Ha Tinh province are also demonstrating a strong will and determination to enrich themselves and their families. Starting from nothing, farmer Le Manh Hung in Tay Tra village, Huong Tra commune (Huong Khe district) boldly implemented his idea of building a comprehensive farm model on the hills.

With support from local authorities in terms of land lease policies, loans, and technology, and his own passion for honest work and wealth creation, after more than 5 years, Mr. Hung now owns a farm with over 11,000 chickens and hundreds of high-tech melon plants; his annual income is approximately 2.5 billion VND.

Mr. Hung is a farmer who has been honored as a model of patriotic emulation throughout the province.

Mr. Hung shared: "The initial difficulties involved immeasurable sweat and effort, but looking at the property today, I see that all those efforts were worthwhile. I can't help but feel proud because it's the result of honest labor, a way for me to contribute a small part to building a more prosperous and beautiful homeland."

Following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings to the People's Police, Captain Le Van Tuyen - Head of Thanh Binh Thinh Commune Police (Duc Tho District) - always demonstrates exemplary conduct in his work and is dedicated to serving the people.

During his five years of service in the locality, Captain Tuyen and his colleagues arrested and prosecuted 150 cases involving more than 300 individuals who violated the law, contributing to maintaining peace and security for the people. These stories, typical of patriotic emulation movements and the spirit of responsibility in building the homeland, are also the way in which each cadre, soldier, and citizen of Ha Tinh remembers President Ho Chi Minh's teaching: "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation, and those who emulate are the most patriotic."

The emulation movement is the driving force in fulfilling political tasks.

During the period 2021-2023, localities, departments, agencies, the Fatherland Front, and mass organizations in Ha Tinh province launched dozens of vibrant and practical patriotic emulation movements across all fields. These movements closely followed practical requirements; they inspired the efforts and contributions of each official, civil servant, employee, member of the armed forces, the business community, and the general public; and they truly became a driving force for socio-economic development and ensured national defense and security in the province.

Workers in agencies, units, and enterprises are enthusiastically participating in labor and production emulation campaigns.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Union Ngo Dinh Van shared: “Identifying emulation as the driving force of production and business activities, labor unions at all levels always consider launching emulation campaigns as a regular and continuous activity. The movement has produced many exemplary cadres, workers, and laborers with initiatives that have proven effective in practice, contributing to building strong agencies, units, and enterprises.”

Authorities at all levels regularly encourage and motivate workers to participate in emulation movements.

In organizing movements, many sectors, localities, and grassroots units have focused on building emulation criteria linked to evaluation and rewards to encourage collectives and individuals to strive for excellence. Nguyen Van Hung, Head of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Committee, stated: “Reward work has always been emphasized by all levels and sectors, especially the timely selection and commendation of exemplary individuals from the grassroots level and direct laborers. These exemplary individuals have a strong ripple effect, spreading best practices throughout the population, thereby contributing to consolidating and continuously improving the people's consensus with the Party and government in carrying out the political tasks of the locality, agency, and unit.”

Leaders of Mitraco Ha Tinh presented awards to individuals and affiliated units that achieved outstanding results in the labor and production emulation movement.

Mr. Tran Tu Anh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Commendation Council, stated: “In recent years, Ha Tinh has organized emulation movements linked to the implementation of the province's political targets and tasks. These emulation movements have attracted active participation and fostered a spirit of solidarity and unity among Party committees, government agencies, and all sectors of the population. To continue innovating emulation and commendation work, we must first create a shift in awareness, viewing emulation as a great driving force for the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.”

The emulation movement must be widely implemented, with the motto "Where there is an organization, there is an emulation movement," and "Everyone competes, every sector competes"; the movement must be practical, directing emulation efforts towards the implementation of key tasks and breakthroughs, focusing on resolving difficult tasks and prominent issues, with a focus on sustainable economic development, Party building, and building a clean and strong political system, in conjunction with the implementation of Directive No. 05 of the Politburo of the 12th Party Congress on "Promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style."

Ha Tinh province launches patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020-2025.

During the period 2021-2023, localities, agencies, and units throughout the province launched many meaningful and practical emulation movements. From these emulation movements, Ha Tinh honored 5,097 outstanding individuals and groups (1,133 collectives and 3,964 individuals). The province had 18 collectives and 27 individuals awarded Labor Medals of various classes (first, second, and third class); and 66 collectives and 138 individuals received Certificates of Merit and Excellent Emulation Flags from the Prime Minister.
