41 security cameras are installed at many key locations in Phu Quoc city, Kien Giang province to monitor security and order in the area.
On November 8, in Phu Quoc city, Kien Giang Provincial Police coordinated with relevant units and localities to launch a pilot operation of the AI camera system to monitor security and order on the "pearl island" according to Project 06 of the Government .
The leader of Kien Giang Provincial Police said that the AI camera system will help enhance security monitoring capabilities on the island. The AI camera is integrated with features such as facial recognition, license plate recognition, behavior analysis and detection of unusual situations.

Phu Quoc City has also installed 6 security cameras at garbage hotspots to handle the situation of illegal dumping.
