
With a community of nearly 78 million monthly active users, Zalo - the most popular messaging platform and mobile application in Vietnam - launched the "Proud of Vietnam" campaign on April 23 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The campaign has helped connect generations of patriotic Vietnamese people, from young to old users, towards an important milestone in the process of building and defending the nation.

According to the record, many Zalo users have simultaneously updated their personal page interface by hanging the national flag on the wallpaper and profile picture frame. Notably, the campaign has reached the milestone of the first 1 million users participating in less than 24 hours.
In addition to updating the interface page, many users also shared emotional posts and personal moments to spread their patriotism. Each message contained deep affection for the country. This is also the "Make in Vietnam" platform Zalo aimed for when implementing the "Proud of Vietnam" campaign, especially in the context of technology becoming an indispensable part of modern life.

“Proud of Vietnam - a resilient nation, where ordinary people make an extraordinary country”, Viet Hoai shared the feelings of young people born and raised when the country was at peace.
Zalo's "Proud of Vietnam" campaign will be held until April 30, 2025. To show patriotism and participate in this meaningful campaign, users just need to click on the banner on the diary page to choose their favorite Vietnamese interface.

Currently, Zalo offers 3 Vietnamese interface sets including a red flag with a yellow star wallpaper, a wallpaper depicting the Hanoi Flag Tower, and a country landscape wallpaper. All are associated with the image of the Vietnamese National Flag - the sacred symbol of the country. The interface sets will be provided free of charge to all users on the platform from April 23 to 30. In particular, users who have updated this interface set during the free trial period can continue to use it until May 5.
The campaign, in harmony with the atmosphere of the national celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, promises to contribute to creating memorable and meaningful moments during the days when the patriotic spirit of the Vietnamese people is at its peak.

Before the “Proud of Vietnam” campaign, Zalo regularly organized activities to celebrate and welcome major holidays of the year for the user community. The activities showed Zalo’s active companionship and efforts to connect the user community, while accelerating the access of Vietnamese generations to the most advanced technologies today, especially Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Zalo is currently the most popular and favorite messaging platform in Vietnam (according to Decision Lab), and has shown an active role in connecting generations of Vietnamese users. Data from the third quarter of 2024 shows that the percentage of Zalo users in Gen X, Gen Y and Gen Z are all outstanding, with 75%, 56% and 40% respectively, higher than Messenger and Facebook.
