Recently, social media has been sharing many clips about an "outdoor gym" that have attracted a lot of attention. At Lang Hoa Go Vap Park (Thong Tay Hoi Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM daily, Mr. Chau Viet Son (37 years old) regularly guides people in exercising completely free of charge. Without modern equipment, his enthusiasm and dedication have transformed this corner of the park into a welcoming and humane space for health and fitness.

"Everyone deserves good health."
Speaking to Thanh Nien newspaper , Mr. Son shared that his journey into the gym began with his own desire for self-improvement. Compared to his current healthy appearance, his image more than 10 years ago was completely different: he was 1.74 m tall but weighed only 52 kg. His insecurities about his thin physique became the motivation for him to seek out the gym to improve his health.
He maintained his exercise routine for many years. Seeing his systematic training, many people around him began to express interest in joining him. From impromptu group workouts, the number of people seeking his help grew steadily. Instead of training individually, Mr. Son decided to offer free instruction to anyone who needed it.

And so, the "free" class grew over the years right in the Go Vap Flower Village Park. From just a few people initially, this corner of the park has now become a familiar meeting place for many students of all ages. Whether young or middle-aged, everyone who comes here receives dedicated support from the passionate "teacher."
Without many modern machines, people made use of the exercise equipment available in the park such as horizontal bars, dumbbells, etc. Under Mr. Son's guidance, everyone enthusiastically exercised, sweating profusely but still with excited expressions on their faces.
Mr. Son currently owns his own gym, but he still maintains this free class with a simple belief: "Not everyone can afford to go to the gym, but everyone deserves good health." For him, helping people become healthier every day is a great source of happiness.
Individual lesson plans for each person.
Over the past 10 years, Mr. Son's "free gym" has witnessed many positive changes in the health of its members. Depending on their physical condition, age, or specific medical history, each person receives a personalized training plan to ensure safety and achieve the best results.

One of the exceptional cases is Mr. Nguyen Phuong Tuoc (47 years old, residing in Thong Tay Hoi Ward). He came to the class suffering from a herniated disc, his body so weak that he "couldn't even lift an 8 kg weight."
Understanding his condition, Mr. Son guided Mr. Tuoc to begin with gentle rehabilitation exercises to help stabilize his spine. After about 3 months of consistent effort, Mr. Tuoc's health improved significantly. "Currently, I can confidently lift 90 kg, something I never thought I could do before," Mr. Tuoc shared.
Take Phan Ho Ngoc Duc (40 years old), for example, who has been involved with the class since its early days. Few people know that 10 years ago, Mr. Duc weighed 95 kg with a significant amount of excess fat. One day, while strolling in the park, he was drawn to the enthusiastic atmosphere of the workout and decided to join. After a long period of persistent training, Mr. Duc now possesses a more toned physique and significantly improved health.
Seeing students like Mr. Tuoc and Mr. Duc getting healthier and improving every day, Mr. Son couldn't hide his joy. For him, health is a precious asset, and helping others improve their physical condition is also a way to make his own life more meaningful.
