100 "child" soldiers complete the "Semester in the Army" program

The "young" soldiers visited and learned at Air Force Regiment 917 (located in Thoi An Dong ward, Can Tho city).

During 10 days (from June 27 to July 6) of studying and training at the 932 Infantry Regiment, the "young" soldiers were challenged in a collective living environment with military discipline. At the same time, they participated in a variety of training contents such as: learning about the traditions of the Vietnam People's Army, practicing arranging military equipment, practicing 16 unarmed martial arts movements, physical education, survival skills, skills to prevent abuse and school violence. They also had practical experience at the following units: Air Force Regiment 917, Special Forces Regiment 2012, Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department... The program also organized many supplementary activities such as singing lessons, folk dancing, physical games, team building, swimming lessons and life skills, helping them form a sense of discipline, independence and courage in life.

"Semester in the Army" is not only a useful playground but also a journey of maturity for students in the summer of 2025.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Course Completion to 100 qualified students.

In 2025, the program will organize 2 classes (each class has 100) for students aged 9-15 in provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region. The second class is expected to be held from July 11 to July 20, with many activitiesto educate children about knowledge and life skills. This is the 15th time the program has been organized to arouse and educate patriotism and national pride, contributing to raising the responsibility of the young generation towards the Fatherland.
