14.9 billion VND to repair National Highway 25

The Department of Construction has just started the project to repair damaged roadbeds, road surfaces, and traffic safety systems in the following sections: Km7+300-Km8+450, Km18+700-Km19+150, Km20+500-Km20+800, Km26+700-Km27+300, Km47+850-Km48+00; Handling local water stagnation at Km7+350 (T), Km10+760 (T) and repairing the drainage culvert at Km23+185, National Highway 25, the section passing through Phu Hoa and Son Hoa districts.

The project is invested by the Department of Construction with a total investment of 14.9 billion VND; expected to be completed in October 2025. The project has an investment scale based on the existing roadbed and surface, repairing damaged roadbed and surface of approved sections and repairing the drainage culvert at Km23+185.

Specifically, for sections of the route with damaged roadbed and road surface, the construction units will carry out repairs using cold in-situ scraping and regeneration technology. For sections with damaged road surfaces such as mud, depressions, and heavy asphalt protrusion, the construction units will handle them in more detail, by digging up the damaged roadbed foundation layer and moving it to another location; strengthening and restoring the foundation layer with crushed stone aggregate. After that, the old asphalt concrete layer will be restored before scraping and regeneration and then covering the entire road surface with a new thick layer of asphalt concrete.

For some sections of the route with underground water, the construction unit will arrange underground drainage using fishbone ditches to drain water; then restore the pavement structure and drainage ditches along both sides of the route.

For localized water stagnation locations, the construction unit will reinforce the roadside with cement concrete, add a system of collection pits and water pipes, collect rainwater; repair damaged drainage culverts, then restore the road surface structure, and restore the reinforced roadside with cement concrete.

The project is implemented to ensure increased traffic safety and construction safety; enhance drainage capacity and exploit the route safely and effectively.
