Authorities released two rare baby loris back into the forest. |
Previously, on September 1, while logging acacia wood at the hill of Vinh Hao Forestry Company (Khuoi Le village, Vinh Tuy commune), Mr. Luong Van Binh, Tan Trao commune discovered 2 small loris crawling on the road. Mr. Binh tried to chase the 2 small loris back into the forest but they refused to leave. Realizing that the 2 small loris were at risk of injury and their lives were threatened, Mr. Binh brought them back to the Forest Ranger Department of Region VII. After inspection, the rangers determined that the 2 small loris were in good health and eligible for release into the wild.
The dwarf loris belongs to group IB - an endangered, rare species that needs to be preserved and bred. |
Since the beginning of the year, the Forest Protection Department of Region VII has released four rare animals, including the Little Loris, Four-eyed Turtles and Monkeys, back into the wild. Releasing wild animals back into the wild plays an important role in the conservation of rare and precious animals, the protection of biodiversity, and the protection of a sustainable ecological environment.
