(BLC) - On the morning of December 29, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with Than Uyen district to organize an award ceremony for collectives and individuals of Muong Cang commune with outstanding achievements in participating in regional and national events, festivals, competitions, and performances in 2024.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Tran Quang Chien - Vice Chairman of Than Uyen District People's Committee; Vuong Vi Tho - Director of the Provincial Center for Culture and Arts; leaders of specialized departments of the district, Party committees, authorities and awarded collectives and individuals.
In 2024, Muong Cang commune had art troupes, Then Singing Club - Tinh Lute participating in 4 regional and national events, festivals, competitions, and performances in 2024. Of which, 1 provincial level, 3 regional and state levels; the quality of the art troupes and clubs has brought many awards to Lai Chau province. Typical performances include: Performance of traditional brocade weaving and Tinh Lute making of the Tay, Nung, and Thai ethnic groups; Ancient Then singing: Hom Han, Hom Quang (Deer catching, deer catching); Then singing: Trum Huong Khoan (Wishing the soul); Teo Doong dance (squatting dance with excerpts from Then); Tinh Tau ensemble: Then lute sound...
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vuong Vi Tho - Director of the Provincial Center for Culture and Arts thanked the attention of Than Uyen district, Muong Cang commune, actors and artisans who have devoted their talents and efforts to contribute to spreading Than Uyen culture in particular and Lai Chau province in general to the people of the whole country. At the same time, he also hoped that the locality, actors and artisans would continue to contribute to the cultural and artistic movement, preserving and promoting the identity of ethnic groups. From there, contributing to building an advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity.
On this occasion, the Provincial Center for Culture and Arts awarded the following prizes: 3 A prizes, 1 B prize, 1 C prize from the 7th Then Singing - Tinh Lute Art Festival of the Tay, Nung, Thai ethnic groups in 2024 at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi. At the same time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in participating in regional and national events, festivals, competitions, and performances in 2024. This is a recognition of the efforts of local authorities as well as actors and artisans of Muong Cang commune in preserving and promoting the cultural identity of local ethnic groups.
