The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has been promoted and developed, becoming a widespread mass movement, receiving the consensus and response of the masses, gradually contributing to changing the appearance of the countryside and the material and spiritual life of the people.
Mass cultural and artistic activities are organized enthusiastically to serve the political tasks and the people's need for cultural and artistic enjoyment. Propaganda and mobilization work to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws is one of the important political tasks of the Industry with many diverse and creative forms of activities.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism regularly coordinates with agencies, departments, branches and unions to organize many festivals, competitions and performances to better propagate and mobilize cadres and people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's policies and laws.

Regarding tourism, in recent times, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has actively advised the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to issue many projects, programs and plans to contribute to promoting the development of tourism in the province. Tourism continues to receive synchronous and drastic direction, gradually affirming its role as one of the five pillars of socio-economic development of the province. Awareness of all levels, sectors, cadres, party members and people of all walks of life about the position, role and importance of tourism has been raised; many large-scale tourism programs and projects have been completed and put into operation; tourism service business activities have been expanded, bringing about quite high efficiency; tourism products of the province are increasingly diverse.
In the period of 2026-2030, the provincial culture, sports and tourism sector will continue to develop and perfect mechanisms and policies on developing culture, sports and tourism; attract and provide appropriate incentives for organizations and individuals investing in developing tourism in the province. At the same time, direct relevant agencies to regularly pay attention to the restoration and embellishment of cultural works and historical relics of the province to preserve and promote the value of the relics as well as to attract visitors.
Along with that, focus on developing tourism businesses and improving the professionalism of the industry; strengthen the connection of Bac Lieu tourism industry with tourism centers in Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho City and other centers across the country to create brand and competitiveness, meeting the diverse needs of tourists.
Improve the quality of tourism products with the province's characteristics; increase the exploitation of tourism services combined with wind power projects; pay attention to investing in building infrastructure for planned tourist destinations; actively call for investment, develop coastal tourism areas and routes, projects combining wind power with tourism; effectively exploit the tangible and intangible cultural values of the locality in tourism development; develop more regional tourism products.
In addition, review and amend appropriate mechanisms and policies to maximize social resources for investment in tourism development. Have policies to support tourism start-up businesses and support the development of community tourism. Innovate methods and content, enhance the application of information technology, ensure unified and professional implementation and improve the effectiveness of domestic and international tourism promotion activities associated with the needs and tastes of each market, in line with the identified development goals; exploit and strongly promote communication channels to create breakthroughs in tourism promotion and advertising activities, especially developing domestic and international tourist markets./.
