After preparing toad meat to eat, 3 children showed signs of poisoning and were taken to the emergency room. Of these, 1 child died and 2 were in critical condition.
On January 11, Chu Se District Medical Center (Gia Lai province) reported a case of poisoning due to eating toad meat, requiring hospitalization.
Accordingly, at 12 noon the same day, this unit received 3 cases of poisoning due to eating toad meat, including Siu N. (11 years old), Siu H. (4 years old) and Siu Th. (6 years old, all residing in Ia Pal commune, Chu Se district).
Among them, Siu N. was hospitalized in a state of circulatory and respiratory arrest. Despite intensive resuscitation, the victim died.
The remaining 2 patients were hospitalized with severe vomiting and lethargy. The center provided initial first aid and then transferred them to a higher level for further treatment.
According to family members, at noon on January 11, all three children prepared toad meat to eat, then showed unusual symptoms and were taken to the emergency room.
