On the afternoon of July 16th, the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City announced that, according to the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam released by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Literature subject was a major highlight for the city, with an average score of 7.259, ranking 5th out of 34 provinces and cities with the highest Literature exam scores nationwide.

Can Tho also ranked among the top 10 provinces and cities with the most perfect scores (10/10) in the following subjects: Informatics (ranked 2nd nationwide, with 7 candidates achieving a perfect score); Technology - Agriculture (ranked 6th, with 5 candidates achieving a perfect score); Biology (ranked 10th, with 2 candidates achieving a perfect score).
According to representatives from the Can Tho City Department of Education and Training, the 2025 high school graduation exam is clear evidence of the city's entire education sector's efforts to innovate and implement the 2018 General Education Program. The results achieved serve as motivation and a foundation for further improving the quality of general education in the coming period, aiming to develop high-quality human resources for the city and the Mekong Delta region.
For the 2025 high school graduation exam, Can Tho City (after the merger) has 32,676 registered candidates. Of these, 13,776 are from the former Can Tho City; 7,426 are from the former Hau Giang province; and 11,474 are from the former Soc Trang province.
