The Freshwater Lake Cultural Area is currently operated and managed by the Freshwater Lake Cultural Area Project Management Board (under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City).

The felled tree trunk was divided into several smaller sections.

The entire Freshwater Lake Cultural Area, covering approximately 20 hectares, is enclosed by a wall, has an entrance gate, and is guarded by security personnel.
