Speaking with Thanh Nien Newspaper reporter, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh, Principal of Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School (Ward 3, Go Vap District), confirmed the incident of students fighting at the school and said that the school had coordinated with the police to resolve the incident.

Sharing with the press, the school leader said that the incident of female students fighting happened in the restroom at the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year. At that time, after receiving the information, the school invited the group of students to work. The school handled the situation by lowering the conduct level of the students who beat their friend at that time.

However, when the video of a student beating a friend in the restroom was spread on social media with violent and dangerous actions, the school's Board of Directors said they would hold a meeting and take strict disciplinary action.

According to information from the school, the 3 female students who beat their friend were all in 9th grade, while the female student who was beaten was in 8th grade. The reason was that this 8th grade female student had a grudge against another 8th grade female student from the previous school year and was the younger sister of one of the 3 9th grade female students who assaulted her, so she was beaten by the 9th grade female students to "teach her a lesson".
