According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in recent times, the province has continued to expand and effectively promote the model of Sustainable Development of 1 million hectares of high-quality and low-emission specialized rice associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta region by 2030. The whole province currently has 30 cooperatives participating in the project with over 4,106 hectares. Currently, the Summer-Autumn rice crop is growing well.
The agricultural sector continues to guide farmers to take good care of the remaining Summer-Autumn rice fields and apply balanced fertilizer to keep the rice plants healthy and prevent lodging.
Continue to monitor the smart insect monitoring system and pest forecasting points to guide farmers in effective prevention and control, preventing the spread of epidemics to ensure productivity and output according to plan; recommend planting the Autumn-Winter crop on schedule, at the same time, prepare well the Winter-Spring crop production plan for 2025-2026 and continue to replicate the model of implementing the Project to develop 1 million hectares of high-quality rice cultivation.
