The four quarterfinal pairings for the TNSV THACO Cup 2026 have been determined.
The quarter-final pairings for the 4th Vietnam Youth and Student Football Tournament - 2026 THACO Cup (TNSV THACO Cup 2026) were determined this afternoon (March 15).
The first quarter-final match took place at 1:30 PM on March 17th, betweenFPT Polytechnic College and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.
In their first appearance in the TNSV THACO Cup finals, FPT Polytechnic College made a strong impression by leading Group A, surpassing host University Nha Trang and two veteran representatives from Ho Chi Minh City.

However, the challenge for Coach Tran Huu Dong Trieu and his team is the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology team, who are riding high after narrowly making it through the group stage. For the second consecutive year, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology has advanced beyond the group stage, demonstrating thorough preparation and consistent performance, which are the foundation for success at the TNSV THACO Cup.
The second quarter-final match took place at 3:45 PM on March 17th, between Nha Trang University and Dong Nai University of Technology. As the only team to reach the quarter-finals without winning a single match in the group stage, the home team, Nha Trang University, despite being considered the underdog, had the advantage of playing at home with the support of a large number of fans.
"Having reached the quarterfinals, every team is strong. The Nha Trang University team plays with unity and determination. We must prepare thoroughly," affirmed Coach Le Huu Phat of Dong Nai University of Technology.

The third quarter-final match will take place at 1:30 PM on March 18th, between Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Thuy Loi University. This can be considered an early final of the tournament, between two representatives from the North with a long history of rivalry.
Last season, Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism eliminated Thuy Loi University on penalties (after a 0-0 draw) in the northern qualifying play-off, and then went on to win the championship.
This is an opportunity for Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism to once again demonstrate its dominance as the reigning champion, or it's a chance for the University of Water Resources to showcase its strength and reclaim what it has lost, settling the "debt" it owes to Thanh Hoa's student football.
The fourth quarter-final match will take place at 3:45 PM on March 18th, between Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Da Nang University of Sports and Physical Education.
While the reigning third-place team, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, is steadily progressing towards the semi-finals, the reigning runner-up, Da Nang University of Sports and Physical Education, seems to have yet to unleash its full potential and has many strategies up its sleeve for the upcoming rounds. It will be a highly calculated and tightly contested match, as both teams are determined to be in contention for the championship title.
The quarter-final matches of the TNSV THACO Cup 2026 will be played over two halves (80 minutes). If the match ends in a draw, the teams will proceed to a penalty shootout to determine the winner.
