Speaking at the event, Editor-in-Chief of the Young Pioneer and Children Newspaper Nguyen Phan Khue affirmed that over the past 28 years, the tournament has received the attention of state leaders at all levels and fans nationwide and is a major sporting event for young players. The tournament has high professional quality, helping children have the opportunity to practice, foster their love of football, and discover potential factors contributing to the development of Vietnamese football in the future.
With the desire to nurture young talents and the slogan "For the future of Vietnamese football", since 2003, Yamaha Motor Vietnam Company has implemented many sponsorship activities for national Youth (U13) and Children (U11) football tournaments. The tournament has become a cradle to nurture the passion of many excellent young players, including: Duy Manh, Quang Hai, Van Hau, Tuan Hai, Hoang Duc, Duc Chien, Nham Manh Dung... These successes have recognized the utmost efforts of the Organizing Committee and Yamaha Motor in contributing to the development of Vietnamese youth football. This year, the national U13 tournament will take place from June 2 to July 15, 2025, with the participation of 45 teams from 36 provinces and cities.
According to the schedule, the qualifying round is divided into 3 regions across the country. Group I is expected to take place in Hai Phong from June 5 to June 16; Group II will be held in Dak Lak from June 2 to June 16; Group III will be held in Ba Ria - Vung Tau from June 11 to June 22.
Then, the final round of the 2025 National U13 tournament will be held from July 1 to July 15 in Binh Duong with the participation of 16 excellent teams in the qualifying rounds.
On the sidelines of the tournament, the Organizing Committee will launch two more special programs for U13 coaches and players. Notably, the program "U13 Yamaha Cup learns football with coach Júbilo Iwata" will take place at Binh Duong Stadium on July 4.
In particular, after the end of the tournament, the Júbilo Iwata team's coaching board will select representatives of outstanding players and outstanding coaches to be invited to Japan to participate in friendly football matches and learn professional skills, scheduled to take place in October 2025.
