“50” - heroic songs celebrating “The Country is Full of Joy”

“The Vietnamese army marches. Together to save the country. Footsteps echo on the bumpy, distant road. The flag is printed with the blood of victory, carrying the soul of the country…”, the sacred lyrics of the song “Tien Quan Ca” by musician Van Cao resound at the beginning of the album “50”. Listening to the song chosen as the National Anthem of Vietnam through Duc Tuan’s voice during these historic April days is filled with pride. This recording has a style that combines the reverent, solemn semi-classical style with the youthful, heroic, enthusiastic style.

From that sacred and proud song, singer Duc Tuan recounted the arduous and heroic journey of our ancestors to defend the Fatherland through immortal songs. These are “Song of Hope”, “Night Stars”, “Storm Rises”, “Our Road”, “Eastern Truong Son, Western Truong Son”, “Vietnam’s Posture”, “On the Top of Truong Son We Sing”, “Marching Together in Spring”, “We Go to Battle Today” and ended with the joyful melodies of the song “The Country is Full of Joy”: “The total victory is exciting for the country. We want to fly up, intoxicated by the majestic mountains and rivers. We want to shout loudly, sing forever Vietnam. The heroic Fatherland!”.

Album “50” - “Unforgettable songs 2” is an artistic product made by singer Duc Tuan, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. 10 years ago, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of this important historical event, he released the album “Unforgettable songs”, a collection of classic revolutionary songs and performed a performance of the same name in Ho Chi Minh City. “50” is an impressive continuation of singer Duc Tuan in the revolutionary music genre, which is his forte.

The 11 songs in the album “50” are arranged seamlessly to recreate the journey to the day of national reunification with a proud melody. The interesting point of this album is that the songs are remixed, creating a youthful, dynamic but heroic quality. Musician Le Thanh Tam, as the music producer for the album, based on the musical nature of each song, created arrangements with their own highlights. His general approach is to use rock variations such as symphonic rock, metal, classical pop, electro pop or swing, rap, to breathe new life into the songs.

As with “Song of Hope”, Duc Tuan sings emotionally, gently, and soaringly, leading listeners into beautiful melodies. With “The Road We Go” with a pop rock sound, listeners can feel the fiery spirit through each lyric… The interesting points in this album include the song “Hang Quan Giua Mua Xuan”, a duet between Duc Tuan and Pham Thu Ha, and the song “Dat Nuoc Tron Niem Vui” with meaningful and captivating rap lines performed by Tien Dat.
