The 19th Asia- Pacific Informatics Olympiad hosted by Uzbekistan took place from May 17 to 18, 2025, attracting 868 contestants from 42 countries and territories.

This year, the exam was highly appreciated for its creativity, closely following the direction of the International Olympiad in Informatics with many flexible and creative approaches.

The Vietnamese national team had 6 students competing, all of whom won medals, including: 1 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medals and 3 Bronze Medals.

Specifically: Nguyen Bui Duc Dung, grade 11, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences (University of Natural Sciences - VNU Hanoi): Gold Medal; Le Kien Thanh, grade 12, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Binh Dinh): Silver Medal; Dang Huy Hau, grade 10, Thang Long High School for the Gifted (Lam Dong): Silver Medal; Ninh Quang Thang, grade 12, Ha Long High School for the Gifted (Quang Ninh): Bronze Medal; Nguyen Huy Phong, grade 11, Lao Cai High School for the Gifted (Lao Cai): Bronze Medal; Nguyen Xuan Chi Thanh, grade 11, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences (University of Natural Sciences - VNU Hanoi): Bronze Medal.

Another mark came from Dang Huy Hau - a 10th grade student - when he won the Silver Medal with a unique way of solving the test, achieving a perfect score on problem number 3 with only 4 lines of code, making a strong impression on the jury.

With this achievement, the Vietnamese team ranked 5th overall, after China, Russia, Japan and South Korea; at the same time, continuing to maintain its leading position in Southeast Asia in the field of Informatics Olympiad.
