Son Doong is the largest cave in the world.

On March 4, information from the Quang Binh Department of Tourism said that CNN News Agency has just honored 9 caves in Vietnam. Of which, 6 caves in the Phong Nha - Ke Bang World Natural Heritage are worthy of world-class status, including Son Doong Cave, En Cave, Va Cave, Nuoc Nut Cave, Tu Lan Cave, and Thien Duong Cave. At the same time, Tam Coc Cave (Ninh Binh), Sung Sot Cave, and Luon Cave (Quang Ninh) were evaluated by CNN as strangely beautiful.

CNN quoted a member of the British Cave Research Association as saying: “My team from the British Cave Research Association has explored more than 500 caves in Vietnam, but we have only explored about 30% of this area. There are many, many more caves to be discovered.”

Son Doong is the largest cave in the world. The cave was formed about 2-5 million years ago. The cave is 150 meters wide, over 200 meters high, and nearly 9 kilometers long. In addition, in some sections, Son Doong Cave is so large that it can accommodate a 40-story building. The cave has two "skylights", two places where the ceiling has collapsed, allowing sunlight to shine in, creating conditions for trees to grow like a tropical forest in the cave.

Thousands of tower-shaped stalactites grow densely inside Va cave.

Hang Va is considered by explorers and scientists to be a cave with a special and unique structure in the world. The cave floor is made up of many lakes surrounded by calcite walls, inside the lakes are thousands of conical stalactites of different sizes and heights growing densely inside. The tallest conical towers recorded in Hang Va are over 2m high.

Tourists explore and experience Tu Lan cave

Tu Lan Cave has a very special geomorphology, even compared to other caves in Quang Binh. Tu Lan Cave contains beautiful stalactites, waterfalls and underground rivers, making the Tu Lan Cave system unique for those who love to explore caves.

The elegance of Thien Duong cave

Thien Duong Cave was discovered in 2005 with a total length of 31.4 km, the longest cave in Asia. With the beauty of stalactites and stalagmites in the cave, the cave was named Thien Duong. Thien Duong Cave is a dry cave, without an underground river flowing through like Phong Nha Cave.
