Quy Nhon Ward needs to promote digital transformation in the entire political system

(GLO)- On the morning of July 16, Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Que had a working session with Quy Nhon ward on the organization and operation of the apparatus according to the 2-level government model.

Quy Nhon Ward was established on the basis of merging 4 wards: Tran Phu, Thi Nai, Hai Cang and Dong Da (belonging to the old Quy Nhon City), with an area of ​​21.78 km², population of more than 129,000 people. The total number of cadres, civil servants and public employees is 136 people.

After operating under the new model, the ward quickly completed its apparatus, arranged reasonable personnel, and ensured smooth operations from the very beginning.

Notably, in the first 15 days of operating under the new model, the Ward Public Administration Service Center received and processed more than 300 files, of which 270 files were processed online. Regarding socio -economic development, the Ward People's Committee issued a plan, clearly identifying specific solutions to complete the assigned targets.

At the meeting, Quy Nhon ward proposed that the province promptly resolve policies for non-professional workers after the merger; support information technology equipment, especially for the one-stop department; organize training to improve public service skills and digital skills for officials and civil servants.

The ward also proposed a solution to supply clean water to Hai Minh area - an area isolated from the mainland.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Que highly appreciated the proactive spirit and efforts in reorganizing Quy Nhon ward; at the same time, he said that, besides the advantages of the central ward, Quy Nhon also faces many challenges such as: large population, great administrative pressure, increasingly high requirements for urban management...

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Quy Nhon Ward to become a model for operating a two-level government. In the immediate future, it is necessary to inherit the achievements of the previous City People's Committee, build Quy Nhon Ward in a safe, civilized, and hospitable direction. Along with that, promote digital transformation in the entire political system, modern urban management, green - clean - beautiful.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned relevant departments and branches to coordinate in reviewing and proposing to the Provincial People's Committee appropriate support plans to ensure the urban government apparatus operates stably and effectively.

On this occasion, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Que presented gifts to encourage officials, civil servants and police force of Quy Nhon ward.
