While not naming specific titles, Cook said he loves biographies of civil rights activists like King and Kennedy, who have inspired him. Cook said he often reads them to find inspiration in King’s courage and vision. King’s values of human rights and social justice have influenced how he has built Apple’s corporate culture. As for Bobby Kennedy, Cook said he was inspired by his spirit of community service and compassion. He sees Kennedy as a role model of a leader who listened and made changes for the common good.
