7 provinces named for slow reporting on extra teaching

7 provinces that are slow to report on management of extra teaching and learning have just been named by the Ministry of Education and Training.

The Ministry of Education and Training has just sent an official dispatch to the People's Committees of provinces and cities regarding continuing to strengthen the direction of secondary school and high school enrollment and the management of extra teaching and learning activities.

The document stated that some localities have not strictly implemented the regulations on the time to report on the implementation of Circular No. 29 on the management of extra teaching and learning. Specifically, 7 provinces submitted reports later than the regulations, including: Quang Ninh, Dak Lak, Dong Nai, Tien Giang , Tay Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, some localities are still confused in implementation because they have not issued documents regulating the management of extra teaching and learning.

The Ministry of Education and Training requests that the People's Committees of localities continue to perform their tasks and take full responsibility for the work of recruiting junior high school students, recruiting high school students and managing extra teaching and learning activities as required by the Prime Minister in Official Dispatch No. 10/CD-TTg.

Previously, on March 28, at a conference with directors of Departments of Education and Training nationwide on the implementation of Circular 29, Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuong, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, requested that Departments of Education and Training advise the Provincial People's Committees to soon issue instructions in accordance with the spirit and responsibility of the locality.

"Ending extra teaching and learning is no longer a command, but must become a command of our entire industry. It is a command of responsibility, a command for the quality of students, a command to educate students to develop comprehensively, a command to implement the 2018 General Education Program, bringing education back to its original principles, and giving back childhood to students," Mr. Thuong emphasized.
