Nguyen Xuan Son's father is a teacher and his mother is a janitor. His father and brother also play football, but Xuan Son showed his dream of pursuing a football career from a young age. Knowing his passion, his parents worked hard to help him fulfill his wish. At the age of 7, his parents gave him money to buy his first pair of football shoes with the money the whole family had saved for many months. Marcele confided that when she first came to Vietnam, it took her two weeks to muster up the courage to walk on the street. "I had never seen so many motorbikes before, so I was scared," Marcele said. "But the friendliness of the Vietnamese people and the climate, which is similar to my home country of Brazil, helped me adapt quickly. What I am most unhappy about so far is that after five years in Vietnam, I still cannot speak much Vietnamese."

In 2019, Xuan Son left Denmark to play for Nam Dinh FC in Vietnam. After 5 years of commitment, Marcele feels satisfied with her current life. Before, she never thought that her whole family would come to live in Vietnam. It is the vibrant life and friendly people here that make Marcele feel excited.

While her husband practices and competes with his teammates, Marcele takes care of the housework, cleaning the house and taking care of the children in their small house in Nam Dinh City. She wants to take care of all the housework so that her husband can focus on pursuing his passion for football.
As a lover of cooking, Marcele prepares nutritious meals herself, helping her husband maintain his fitness for matches. When he is temporarily off the field, the Brazilian player "transforms" into a responsible husband.
