According to the approval, 70 technologies in the High-Tech Category are prioritized for investment and development, including: Artificial intelligence technology; big data and data analytics technology; cloud computing, edge computing, distributed computing and high-performance computing technology; Internet of Things (IoT) technology; blockchain technology; quantum technology; renewable energy, clean energy and advanced energy storage technology; AI-integrated real-time disaster monitoring, forecasting and early warning technology; next-generation microbial technology…

In addition, the Decision also approved 100 products in the High-Tech Product List encouraged for development, including: Systems, equipment, and software for identification, analysis, forecasting, and control based on artificial intelligence and data; platforms supporting AI research, development, and application; software for personalizing learning paths based on big data; intelligent education and training systems and equipment for STEAM; unmanned aerial vehicles; environmentally friendly new energy vehicles; biological drugs applied in medicine, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture ; vaccines, medical biological products, and new generation diagnostic biological products…

Based on the socio-economic development situation and directives from competent authorities, the Ministry of Science and Technology , in coordination with relevant ministries and agencies, will periodically review and evaluate the List of High Technologies prioritized for investment and development and the List of High-Tech Products encouraged for development, and submit them to the Prime Minister for promulgation and updating.

This decision takes effect from July 1, 2026 and replaces Decision No. 38/2020/QD-TTg dated December 30, 2020 of the Prime Minister on the promulgation of the List of High Technologies prioritized for investment and development and the List of High-Tech Products encouraged for development.

Organizations that have been granted certificates or recognition documents for high technology and high-tech products according to the List issued in Decision No. 38/2020/QD-TTg dated December 30, 2020, of the Prime Minister shall continue to apply these Lists until the expiration date stated on the issued certificate or recognition document.
